manic monday!

monday, a fun day!

we just got the humidor delivered on saturday morning! it is really nice spanish cedar...gorgeous. everyone has been asking us if the location is going to allow men and women enjoy one at our location. and the unfortunate answer is...no! we were not allowed an area for outside seating. sorry! however, we are still going to be loading that puppy up with some nice variety of cigars, and we're hoping that we can do a wine tasting and invite a tobacco roller to come in and roll some fresh cigars! maybe father's day weekend or sometime in june. if we can get that in the books and book something solid, that might be something that can be very fun. nothing like wine and cigars! right?

also, tomorrow, we get cabinetry...no, not electricity just yet, but we are gettin' some definition into the joint! yahoo!

now, the place is starting to look like we have some life!

the bar is going in, lighting {the fixtures, let's just make that clear}, and these things to my left, your right! the alcoves. they just make the area look like old world tuscany feel. very nice ambiance! don't you think?

STOP the press! this is crazy.

ok! well we just got the word that...as the alcove company was picking up our cash wrap in mexico...he gets into a car accident (no surprises) and is unable to deliver our cash wrap. amazing the little things that can hold up production. also, i am not sure how borders was able to get electricity from the city so soon (well,... $$$, i presume), but we are still waiting for the county to grant us electricity. our construction guys are working with a generator. can u imagine that? so know we have to reschedule our computer guy, because he cannot install the computers without power? i know what you're thinking? y not use the generator to install, and let's just keep the ball rollin' right? I know, i asked the same question. well apparently, they used a generator before, and SMACK! there was a power surge that popped out the computers and burnt the wires. so the company had to replace the computer system. and boy o boy did that cost them allot of money. so, we rescheduled the guy, and it cost us some money to change his flight. just that scenerio alone has pushed our opening to the public from the week of April 15th to the week of April 28th. with that said...grand opening was suppose to be the weekend of "cinco de drinko" but nnnnnow that has been pushed to may 24th, maybe even may 31st!

with the rag top low so my hair can blow! whoa! ice ice baby. so this is the store as you walk in. we are so excited to have this project moving right along. so far all the inspections are sssmmmoooth sailing. our gm (general contractor) is as anal as they come.

we love it! he dots every i and slashes every t. so far, build rite constructions is making up for allot of lost time. i hope we haven't spoken to soon!

I think we are going to open for 1 week. get the kinks out, for the public opening on the week of April 15, 2008! it's unofficial, but that is what my instinct is telling me! yahoo!
