happy father's day

{here's looking at u kid! }

i have to admit, being a father these days has alot to be comended. it really takes a good man to be an awesome father! and as sad as it may be, there aren't many good dads out there, these days.

so, that is why on father's day, we have to celebrate the real men! the men that man up to their responsibilities all year around. not, the men that get visitation once a year. my definition of a real man...is, a man that is not afraid to say he fears the lord! he's a man that can say he's wrong when he's wrong, and when he's right...he allows you to still be the winner!

a man that can man up for another mans shortfalls...wow! now that's a man! be a 'daddy' and handle another man's responsibilities with an unconditinal heart. that is my hus~man!

he's a real man!
I love that he truly is my son's hero,
and my daughters prince charming!

there are high expectation for our daughter's suitor to fit dads shoes, let me tell you! daddy has been princess' first look at how she should be treated and respected! and, he's done that really well. i think he exceeded his own expectations.

both victor, and i come from broken homes,

and raised by really strong women. so, being a father took alot of prayer, reading "how to be a father" books, and just straight out "down on one knee" humbleness, in order to be a man in his house with plenty of harmony!
that's my husband, victor
{or like savannah would say"bee~tus"}.
so, on this day i celebrate his story of fatherhood! it hasn't been an easy road raising these 2 beautiful children, especially a tween to teen. but by the looks of things...god has blessed us in the past, present and will continue to in the future!

so, as for the road ahead...both these men in my life have been powerful leaders & celebrated on this special day:
happy father's day, bubuth!
and last, but not least... happy father's day to the two women that did it without real men here on earth, but guided by a real man, the lord, in heaven!
i love u, mom
& thank u for a great husband, mona. he misses you!

Love is in the air!
To celebrate Valentine's Day, Lizzy B having a special giveaway!

Her husband makes these hearts from vintage spoons! Each spoon is hand pounded, cut and then sanded into a beautiful unique heart! They are incredibly time consuming but so beautiful! Everyone is so surprised when they find out the heart was from a spoon! She put the smaller one on a short sterling chain and the other two on chunkier gun metal chains. One lucky person will win a vintage spoon heart necklace!

feliz dia de los muertos!!

omg! i just can not believe that my fav holiday of the year is here! this is just my favorite time to dress up and become someone else! i love changing characters and just being creative. Although this is my favorite holiday, it does mark one of the bittersweet moments of my world, and that is the remembrance of those who have passed for "dia de los muertos". one being my husbands mother, who i have never met! today would have been her 76 th birthday!

although, the kids have never met her, she still is very alive in our home. she graces us with her presence, in a photo, all the time. I don't know what it's like to lose a loved one, but i do know that this holiday, even though it's a celebrating tradition in our home. I also understand that there is some sorrow in my husbands heart for the lose he has endured.

so with that said, i'd like to pay respect to the woman that blessed me with a fine, gentleman that has the biggest heart! You did a great job ms mona!

BREAKING NEWS…It’s Official!

This weekend we decided to take a road trip up to Paso Robles. It was almost a year to the date since we went up with a great group of wine club members when the shop first opened. We had just a great a time as we did, with the exception of the crew or to be “official”, wine club members. Especially after that trip, everyone was looking forward to annual trips to wine country that our store would have provided. {NOT!}
We met some incredible winemakers and tasted awesome upcoming wine artist you all will soon be enjoying!
However, this trip, to be honest, was a trip, that was suppose to get us back on track with wine, hosting events, and just a rejuvenating trip into the central coast wine country that Victor loves. At one time, this trip was the trip that had us reaching for the stars! Making money from a hobby is what the American Dream is all about. Unfortunately, this trip did just the opposite. With all the craziness of being a business owner, and all the responsibilities, Victor waved a white flag in RETREAT!!!!

With the entire legal hullabaloo that is going on in our world, it is an unfortunate event but it doesn’t look as if this Paso Robles trip put a fire and passion in Mr. Cerda’s belly after all!
Reality is….BREAKING NEWS! As of October 1, 2009, we will be in proceeding and filing for BANCRUPTCY!!! We went for ALL or NOTHING!!!!
The business partnership of Priscilla & Victor, that we once knew, will have to be put to rest, in order for us to put our personal life back together. Life together BB {before the business} was very simple. We, the 4 of us, just love enjoying each others company, and taking small trips together as a family. That is what life once was? WOW!
Besides, I’m the one with the very private, yet HIGH power, profile, pressure job, and that has always been our life. Running a business has always been my job. Dealing with PRESSURE, has always been my responsibility. I love what I do, BUT, I balance.
Truth is, running a business becomes your life and your awesome customers become your family. It’s all about balance. If you let being a business owner get to your head… well, chances are, you will have a rude awakening IFF, you don’t balance. Taking walks, camping and riding into the sunset with no time restraints, or panicked calls in the middle of a vacation, that’s where we’re at. And as a wife, I have to respect that, my life and what I want, may not be my husbands wants or needs. Eventually it balances out!
So with that said, our life with “The Chronicles” is officially done.

You can find Victor pouring at The Wine Styles in Rancho Cucamonga every Wednesday Night & every other Saturday.

FINI!
