She and her husband hosted a few local events, in order to have the community support, from our 1st Cigar Rolling Event to an Eastvale Halloween Party for neighbors and friends in the community and posted it on our local community website:
In these economic times those sales all over the country for retailers have fallen below expectation, it should come to no surprise that a “ma & pa” shop such as ours would see hard times as well! But, this crisis isn’t happening for any reason!
Fortunately, for us, we have community members that are on our side, and are trying to help us. This is going to be the key to our success and longevity.
We enjoy being a part of a community that has embraced our family and business. Growing up in the “inner-city”, everyone is so busy just trying to survive, that worrying about your neighbor could land you in the hospital. You have to keep to yourself, and the less you know the better off you are. Unfortunately, it becomes a mindset. You’re always so worried that if your neighbor knows what you have, they’re going to be the one to send a “friend”, to take what you have. I have to say, living in a community like this is so much more stress-free. And I am just still blown away, at the fact that there are people out there that genuinely want to help you succeed!
