"Vintage Vino Soiree"

Kim Caldwell is my inspiration for bringing "Vintage Vino" to WineStyles Eastvale. Her events are full of wonderful surprises that just inspire women to want to be connected through creativity. She hosts a very magical event, and posts it on her blog http://www.artisticbliss.typepad.com/. It always seems like such a huge amount of money for the tickets, but once you’re there, she creates this world that just inspires you to take this journey of the imagination for a few hours of the day! Every time I go, it’s just another confirmation of why I love learning techniques from other artist and creating things. It’s such a joy!

My first Artistic Affaire was in Dec 2008, called A Joyeux Affaire. I was introduced to this event because one of my favorite artists, Lori Marie, of Pretty Little Things, http://www.prettylittlethings.typepad.com/.she reside in the San Francisco area, but one day as i was surfing her blog, i saw she posted on her blog that she was going to be teaching at one of Kim’s Affaire’s in Culver City, CA. Culver City! That’s here in CA. I want to go! Well, tickets were sold out and I just put myself on the waiting list…but, no dice! I didn’t get to meet her. But, I did go to the next event Joyeux Affair with my mom and that was out of sight!

So silly. . .

this is my mom and i at our first Artistic affaire event. this is when kim's house was big enough to house all of us creative monsters. HI KIM!
So once you jump on one blog, you just get led into this world of women that you never knew existed. And the best part about it all, is, they all, enjoy the same things you do. It’s such a beautiful thing!! We go the events and we just start seeing other women that blog and create, and it’s this underground world of lovely, glittered things that just are so liberating and beautiful.
Since I love these women, and they are just such a pleasure to hang out with, I decided to bring what is already successful in Orange County and LA, to the IE.
There are a group of women that create in Temecula, CA. that I was introduced to through kim caldwell’s blog, and the owner of this barn that houses all these beautiful creations is Linda. She owns La Maison Rustique, and you can read about her blog at http://www.lamaisonrustique.typepad.com/. Her barn was featured in the Spring 2009 edition of Somerset Life. {you'll see kim is featured on this page as well}
so there you have it. this entire adventure is now out in the open, and i can share this with you all now! I wasn't sure if these types of events would work at our shop, but, victor and i have been pleasantly surprised! and we are both excited to be able to share some of the behind the scences work that inspired this idea and its' unveiling of :

"Vintage Vino Soiree"

This group of ladies will be the first, here in the IE to enjoy and be a part of this underground group of creative minds.
