a bittersweet farwell!
it so hard to let go of the ones you love! and it is with the most respect that we bid farewell to one of our original Wine Club Members. Mat & Gesina Petterson they truly have been such a beautiful couple to have walked through our doors since day 1. i'd say one of the most controversial couples, we've had pictures posted on the web. because of victor's "staged" pictures, this couple made headlines on the winestyles web, with the most emails regarding their pictures that were posted on our blog and website. They had more hits on their pics, than any other couple in our tasting room. please join me, in congratulating, Mr Matt Petterson for being accepted to a great business school on the east coast! for obvious reasons, they will be leaving eastvale, ca., to travel the world prior to his first day back to school.
join me in a round of applause! as we bid farwell to one of the most enchanting couples that have graced us from the day we opened our doors!

So where are the "COOKS"?
This couple was one of our 1st Gold Club Members. Every weekend they would grace us with their presence, and share the funniest stories with all who were in the tasting room. They are one of the most entertaining couples you could ever meet. their laugh is infectious, and their charm is addicting. BUUTT... have you noticed that, after winning thge "Grr-ape Streak" Award, they've been gone.

The Jefferson's...what?
the jefferson's have nothing on this couple! they are movin' on up!
that is, the wine club point system!
that is, the wine club point system!
after becoming gold club members, the next day {maybe later}, it seemed as if they were ready to take things to the next level. i remember a deep voice, from across the tasting room asking, "...so how many points, until you become a Platinum Member?"
i thought, "huh?" pause "what?"
i'm barely getting my bearing together from all the other gold member contenders that came in one right after the other, after the other, not to mention the gold members that were to be grandfathered in! yikes!
what an awesome experience as a business owner. truly it is! because, i do remember looking at the location for our shop, and being told, "why do you want to open up in the city of Mira Loma, Ca? The income level is very low." or "why off of limonite ave, you should go more south, like off the ontario exit." and the truth of the matter is, there is always a {divine} plan. after looking at the demographics of the area, the most rewarding was... we were close to home, and being latinos, we liked the fact that there was a slight challenge to educate and welcome our community to learn , understand, and appreciate wine. now, whether they were going to embrace us, was different. but, our intentions were to embrace our entire environment to appreciate, some of the finer things in life {without breaking the bank}.
and look?
we have been blessed that even in an economic meltdown, we have customers movin' up the point system with a mission.
it is my pleasure to announce our 1st WINE CLUB MEMBERS to reach

HERE'S WHAT THE CRITICS HAVE TO SAY:
The 2005 version is a very complete wine, beginning with a
beauty of a very open nose, with lavender, blackberry, blueberry and a whiff of
barrel toast integrated into the proceedings. Enchantingly rich in the mouth,
the wine is not, however, over powering or overly alcoholic. Quite concentrated
with flavors of mulberry, boysenberry, blackberry, blueberry and loganberry, it
all comes together with the intensity of a Knott’s Berry Farm jam. Aged sixteen
months in French oak (46% new) and unfiltered, it shows a smooth, warm, mouth
caressing texture and finely grained tannins. You could age it three to five
years but it’s very inviting right now. A textbook primer on how to make an
accessible and user friendly Syrah.

super suppers! was grreeat!
well, we finally have the pictures from the super suppers event that we invited you all to! and boy was it fun!
i was taken back that the food was not plated, and the forks were plastic, but...there is always a first time for everything!
most important...the wine was delicious. victor poured the best wines and they paired great with the dishes that were served. it was a if it was all meant to be! he did a great job of doing research that would allow the recipes to shine, and boy 'o ' boy, was it all shining. everyone left full with 6 entrees served...it was well worth it!

even on "monday nights" our members are so much fun!
It so hard to believe that we've now been open 5 mos and already, we have such a great group of club members. pictured below are just a handfull of pictures from our awesome and fun "Monday Nights". and boy o boy was this some fun. we went back in time and had ourselves a dance battle.
sometimes it's nice to know that even professionals can let their hair down and take off their lab coats to enjoy a night of tasting in our establishment. we love you all and thank you for making us your home away from home.

calendars? anyone...
last month we put out a calendar of events, to see if it helped anyone or everyone with our events. if you are out there and are reading, please give victor feedback on this! every little bit helps us figure out our budget, and i thought it was an organized way to help our patrons know, what events we are having. it is important to let him know "yay" or "nay', so that we can continue with making winestyles work for you. so, with that said, i loved those calendars, and today, one of our "Gold Members"

winestyles makeover!
in response to our customer base, the wine room has undergone somewhat of an uplift! we have added 24 "new" chairs
to accommodate all of our guest, as well as added some bar tables 
for your tasting pleasure.
